Reason # 15 FOREIGN Countries

Today, our children (Minette and her fiancé Altus) left for Spain for a two-week holiday. We wish them a fantastic trip and safe travels.

There’s something truly special about visiting foreign countries. The excitement before leaving on an overseas holiday is a unique kind of thrill—a mix of anticipation, curiosity, and joy. As the departure date nears, each suitcase and passport feels like a ticket to a great adventure. Imaginations run wild with thoughts of unfamiliar places, new experiences, and the promise of escape from the everyday. Even the smallest details—passport checks, last-minute packing, or double-checking flight times—become part of a joyful ritual. Not to mention the trip to the airport. It’s a time filled with joy and expectation, where the unknown is not feared but embraced, and the world feels wide open and waiting.

Visiting beautiful Spain, I imagine, is like stepping into a world vibrant with history, culture, color and passion. I’ve heard that the country offers something unforgettable—from the golden beaches of the Costa del Sol to the winding alleys of Barcelona’s Gothic Quarter. Scenes of majestic cathedrals, Moorish palaces, and sun-drenched plazas paint a vivid picture in my imagination. May they enjoy every moment. We can't wait to see the pictures...!Olé!

And so, for me too, this is the perfect cue to be filled with traveler's gratitude — also remembering the foreign places I’ve had the privilege of visiting in my life so far. Some were due to work or study engagements; others were family holidays.

I am fortunate to have visited the following places;

Maldives (Alimatha)

Rio de Janeiro (Brazil)

Buenos Aires (Argentina)

Mauritius

Madagascar

Seychelles

Germany

Greece

the Netherlands

Belgium

France

Zimbabwe

Zambia

Angola

Botswana

Mozambique

Malawi

Namibia

Lesotho

Phuket...

....and may there be a few more still to come.

HERE ARE SOME MEMORIES!!

Bon Voyage
