Reason # 7 Thank you for the Music - CHURCH CHOIRS

Thank you for the music - CHURCH CHOIRS  especially !!!

There’s something profoundly moving about the sound of a church choir on a Sunday morning. For me, it’s more than music—it’s a tradition, a ritual, a memory. The music reach into my soul and reminds me of beauty, reverence, and the sacred...

Therefor I have this little ritual - every Sunday, I make time to listen to some of my favorite choral pieces. The harmonies, the rise and fall of voices woven together in song, have a way of carrying me away into something timeless.

Hearing voices sore high up in those majestical cathedrals almost makes me feel as if I have lived and experience that myself in a world long forgotten.

Thank you YouTube off course for showing us worlds -  and putting experience into reach that we never might have experienced otherwise.

It’s not just nostalgia—it’s nourishment. In a world that’s often loud and hurried, choir music slows me down. It opens space for reflection, for gratitude, for awe. It reminds me that beauty still exists in simple, powerful ways.

Each piece in itself becomes a prayer then.

Hence I find my worship in the voices of a choir on a Sunday morning.

It’s hard to explain why it moves me the way it does. Maybe it’s the purity of voices joined in harmony, or the slow unfolding of melodies that seem to carry both sorrow and hope in the same breath.

Maybe it’s the way the music reaches places in me that words never could.

There’s comfort in it, like returning to something familiar and safe  - it’s like being gently reminded that we are not alone, that there will always be beauty around us, even in the broken parts of the world and of myself. All we need to do is look and LISTEN.

So yes, therefor sometimes, I close my eyes and JUST listen. And in those moments, it feels like the music is doing more than filling the room—it’s filling something in me. It brings this wonderful warm feeling - an overwhelming sense of being touched by something greater, something far bigger than myself.

Church choir music has become an anchor for me, especially on Sundays. It marks the end of one week and the quiet beginning of another. It helps me let go, reflect, and remember what matters.

It’s not just music. It’s healing. It’s hope in harmony.

And today I want to share it with you.
