Reason # 19 Ek het n HUISIE in die Bos

  Ek het n huisie in die Bos Jul kan my maar hier vir ewig los Sê vir die wêreld; Ek het geDros na my eie Kosmos. Nou is ek Kosmopoliet Kluisenaar  "navigaar" met Sterrestelsel en rekenaar.  Internet en hemel wemel wyeweb 'n koepel vir gebed, met net verbeelding in my dubbelbed niemand hoef my te kom liefkoos  of Red Spinnerak fyn geweefde droom ideaal en sindroom Pinky & die Brein neem die wereld steeds daagliks oor loslit-loslyf-loshand en bekoor. Ek dra my onthou tas,  oral met my saam en bind my bekwaam aan bome en mure met boeie en bas van groot Dankbaarheid va s! Tucked away in a whispering forest on the banks of Stellenbosch, my little cottage has become more than just a home—it’s my refuge and my reward. The mornings here begin with birdsong and soft light filtering through a canopy of trees, while the evenings are painted with the amber and pinks of a Winelands sunset.  There is a braai, a fireplace, a gas-heater, warmth and hospitality abound....

Reason # 2 House Rules & STORY TELLING

The Gratitude Journey Journal This is going to be quite a journey— which I intend to keep super short at times, because this is not the book YET… ha ha! ( As if my life is really interesting enough to write a novel about.) Still, life is always    a precious gift, and I do have quite a few stories to tell... Once, when I asked my children to give a one- sentence summary of how they see me, they said: " Jy is ' n storieverteller, Pappa!" Well, I can’t fault them on that one, because storytelling is an integral part of my life. Maybe it started back when I was a teenager, and the favourite storyteller to my siblings’ young kids. The briefing was always the same and always short: " Ons gee vir jou ' n sin, en dan moet jy die res vertel..." And so, many a story began.
