Reason # 13 we are BOTH Stardust & Grassade

Image
Born of stardust and mystery, we move through this life as pilgrims, learning to love, to feel, to fall, and to rise again. The universe lives within us; its rhythm pulses through our veins, and its silence echoes in our questions. We are not separate from the stars—we are made of them, part of a vast, interstellar symphony that stretches beyond time and space. Though our feet touch the ground, our essence reaches far past the planets and into the quiet heart of the unknown. In this strange, beautiful journey of becoming, we are both the seekers and the story, the question and the answer. To walk this Earth is to remember: we are spirits with a human experience—brief visitors on a sacred path—forever connected to the stars from which we came. From Source we come and to Source we will return... Suffice! Grassade Stef Kruger (c) loop maar katvoet deur my woorde soos deur die bitter mooi karoo iewers skuil daar nog akkoorde iewers waai n rolbos vas ons is maar grassade my kind in die...

Reason # 12 The 60+

In our daily lives, we interact with a variety of people who play different roles in our personal, social, and professional worlds. From family members and close friends to colleagues and neighbors, each relationship brings its own unique connection and significance. Understanding these roles—whether it’s a soul mate, a lover, a coworker, a mentor, or a student—helps us appreciate the diverse ways people influence and support us. This overview provides clear, concise definitions of some common terms used to describe these important relationships and roles: Soul mates : Two people believed to be deeply connected on a spiritual or emotional level, often seen as destined to be together. Twin souls : Two individuals who share the same soul split into two bodies, believed to mirror each other deeply and help each other grow spiritually through intense connection and challenges. Twin flames : A concept where two people are thought to share one soul split into two, creating a powerful, often ...

Reason # 11 The Right MINDSET and having the T-shirt

Every person who enters our lives leaves a mark... Some leave joy, others might point you in a new directions or bring a lesson. Some inspire, others challenge. But all—whether fleeting or for a long or medium season—have a role in shaping who we are becoming. When we're caught in a victim mindset, it's easy to view others as sources of hurt, disappointment, or frustration. Life becomes something that happens to us , and people become obstacles or villains. But when we step out of that mindset—when we choose to see life through the lens of growth—we begin to recognize a deeper truth: everyone we meet is either a blessing or a lesson. The friend who believed in you when you couldn’t believe in yourself—that’s a blessing. The project or boss who pushed you beyond your comfort zone—that’s a lesson. The partner who loved you deeply and left suddenly—that’s both. Every interaction invites reflection. What did this person awaken in me? What part of myself did they mirror back to...

Reason # 10 Know your GIFTS

Image
KNOW YOUR GIFT One of the joys of my life is the deep sense I've always had that I came to this earth with a mission. They say, “What’s in a name?” Well, maybe with a name like "Ernest", there was a clue right from the start... Meaning: A classic and strong name, rooted in the Germanic languages, it speaks of seriousness, earnestness, and determination.  Now combine that with a CANCER Star sign and you have an interesting mix. Cancer Core Traits: Emotional & Intuitive: Cancers are deeply sensitive and emotionally intelligent. They often feel things intensely and can sense the moods of others easily. Nurturing & Protective: Natural caregivers, they are deeply loyal to those they love and will go out of their way to support and protect them. Home & Family Oriented: Home is their sanctuary. They find great meaning in creating a safe, warm, and loving space for family and friends. Empathetic & Compassionate: Compassion runs deep. They’re of...

Reason # 9 Thank you for the - BRICKS

Image
Enough now with the music, you might say... But since we have been pondering the subject of music the past three days - allow me one last fling with it in asking: Remember the Abba song:  "Thank you for the Music" !? Now, while I love the lyrics and the song as much as probably a billion other Earth dwellers, I’ve often thought that if I ever had to customize it to make it applicable to me—since I have many talents, but singing is certainly not one of them—then the lyrics would have been: "Thank you for the bricks, the blocks I'm laying Thanks for all the homes I'm building Who could live without it? I ask in all honesty What would life be? Without bricks and beams, and dreams built from the ground? So I say  thank you   for the  bricks For giving it to me ..." I am sure I was born with houses in my veins.  (Too long a story to tell here, maybe one day I will.) Today, however, we are simply going to celebrate all the lovely houses I’ve had the privilege t...
